As an international donor, your contribution is vital to supporting the work on our stage in New York and to bringing grand opera to audiences around the world through ongoing virtual programming. UK Fund for Charities

UK taxpayers can donate to the Met through the UK Fund for Charities (reg. no. 1097462) by recommending the Metropolitan Opera. UK taxpayers, regardless of residency or nationality, can make donations to the UK Fund under Gift Aid. Higher rate taxpayers should include all Gift Aid donations on their Self-Assessment tax return in order to receive any tax relief due. Taxpayers are then able to donate the tax relief back to the charity.

For European Union Donors

Donors wishing to support the Met can receive tax credit in 19 designated European Union countries by giving through the King Baudouin Foundation and Transnational Giving Network via bank transfer or online payment, with the gift designated to the Metropolitan Opera. Donors who give at least €40 to the King Baudouin Foundation are entitled to a tax reduction equivalent to 45% of the amount donated, which is shown on the tax certificate.

For Dutch Donors

Do I receive any tax benefits as a Dutch citizen or Dutch company for a gift?

The Metropolitan Opera is registered with the Dutch tax authorities as a cultural Public Benefit Organization in the Netherlands (culturele algemeen nut beogende instelling or ANBI). Our RSIN/tax number is 825391763.

This means that Dutch resident individuals and Dutch resident companies can deduct their gift for Dutch personal income tax purposes or Dutch corporate income tax purposes, respectively, provided certain conditions are met. Do I receive any tax benefits as a Canadian citizen for a contribution?
