Support the National Council

This season, the Laffont Competition will produce 43 auditions days including the National Semifinals and Grand Finals. Your gifts ensure the perpetuity of this important opportunity for young singers.

Contributions from National Council members provide direct support for the Met and the National Council Auditions program. Members receive discounts at the Met Opera Shop, Met Opera On Demand and online store, a subscription to Opera magazine, and robust in-house benefits during the opera season.

Gifts to the Awards fund go directly to the Laffont Competition's singer prizes. At the National level, Semifinalists receive $5,000, Finalists receive $10,000, and Grand Finals Winners are awarded $20,000. To donate a prize at this level, please contact the Laffont Competition team directly at competition@metopera.org. 

Education Fund grants are available to contestants of the Laffont Competition who reach the Semifinal round or further. Your gift directly supports the development of these singers for up to 3 years.
