Met Gift Cards can be used for opera tickets and subscriptions, Met membership, contributions, subscriptions to Met Opera on Demand, merchandise in the Met Opera Shop and metoperashop.org, and more. Met Gift and E-Gift Cards are available for any amount from $5 up to $2,000.

Gift cards expire five years from the date of purchase. Gift cards are non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash, applied against previous purchases, or to purchase additional gift cards. In the event an unexpired gift card is lost, stolen, or destroyed and the Met is presented with adequate proof of its original purchase, the Met will replace the card upon request with the balance remaining at the time proof of purchase is presented. All matters arising from the purchase, use or possession of a gift card shall be governed by New York law and any dispute in connection with such matters must be resolved exclusively in a state or federal court located only in the County of New York.
