Orfeo ed Euridice

Met Music Director James Levine leads Gluck’s classic retelling of the Orpheus myth, starring countertenor David Daniels in the leading role of the mythical singer. Maija Kovalevska is Euridice, Orfeo’s beloved wife who is brought back from the underworld—only to die again. Heidi Grant Murphy sings Amore, the God of Love, who brings about the happy ending and reunites the couple.
