Overview
With her effortless and electrifying vocal power, beauty of tone, and riveting stage presence, Norwegian soprano Lise Davidsen is one of the most thrilling singers to emerge in recent decades. Following her sensational star turns in Ariadne auf Naxos, Elektra, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, and The Queen of Spades, Davidsen now joins the rarified group of artists to give a solo recital on the Met stage. On September 14 at 8PM, she joins pianist James Baillieu to perform a program of soaring arias by Verdi, Wagner, and Tchaikovsky combined with Scandinavian and German songs by Grieg, Sibelius, Strauss, and Schubert.
