How do I download the Met Opera app?
What are rush tickets?

Rush tickets are heavily discounted tickets in Orchestra locations, made available for most performances. The price of a rush ticket is $25. Rush tickets are currently available on the Met Opera app via a ticket lottery. Rush tickets may also be purchased on metopera.org/rush on a first-come, first-served basis.
How does the rush-ticket lottery on the Met Opera app work?

Rush tickets are deeply discounted tickets made available the day before a performance via a lottery, accessible only though the Met app. You may win up to two tickets per performance and can have up to three active lotteries at any point. Entry to the lottery closes at 9:45AM ET the day before a performance.

Winners will be notified via email and, if they’ve opted into them, via a push notification on their device. The first drawing takes place at 10AM ET, and winners will be notified shortly thereafter. If you were successful in the lottery, you must accept and purchase your tickets via the app within 90 minutes from the time you are notified of your successful entry. There will be a second drawing around 1PM ET for any unclaimed tickets from the initial drawing. Winners of the second drawing will have 90 minutes to purchase tickets from the time they are notified of the successful entry. Digital tickets will be delivered within the app approximately two hours prior to curtain. Please note there are no refunds or exchanges for rush tickets.
