Overview

Soprano Sonya Yoncheva joins the select group of singers who have headlined a solo recital on the Met stage. Having triumphed as some of opera’s greatest heroines—including Violetta in La Traviata, Desdemona in Otello, and the title characters of ToscaLuisa Miller, and Iolanta—this enthralling artist makes her long-awaited return to the Met, accompanied by esteemed pianist Malcolm Martineau. The program for this one-night-only event features ravishing selections from the Italian and French song repertoire, including music by Verdi, Puccini, Henri Duparc, Ernest Chausson, and more.

All audience members must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and wear face masks at all times inside the Met, except when eating or drinking in designated areas. For more information on health and safety policies, visit our commitment page.
