Comprising opera lovers of all backgrounds from across the United States, The Met: Live in HD Ambassador program aims to develop opera audiences in local communities by generating awareness for and fostering interest in Live in HD transmissions.
About The Met: Live in HD
The Met: Live in HD is the Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody and Emmy Award–winning series of live performance transmissions, shown in high definition in movie theaters across the globe. The Met’s groundbreaking series offers audiences a front-row seat to spectacular live productions—plus, during intermissions, viewers can go behind the scenes with exclusive backstage access and interviews.
What is a Live in HD Ambassador?
Live in HD Ambassadors are volunteers for the Metropolitan Opera who help generate awareness and ticket sales for the Met’s Live in HD series of cinema transmissions in their local communities.
Ambassadors have the following responsibilities:
- Serve as a positive representatives of the Metropolitan Opera
- Find ways to promote the Met’s transmissions in local communities, including distributing provided promotional materials, sending emails, and publicizing on social media
- Field questions from audiences and liaise with movie theater management if needed
- Relay relevant questions and comments to the Met’s Live in HD Ambassador Admin team
