Silver, Diamond and Sapphire Cigarette Case and Match Case - Circa 1910's

A SILVER, DIAMOND AND SAPPHIRE CIGARETTE CASE AND MATCH CASE

The rectangular case of gilt interior with textured exterior set with a diamond set monogram "h" surmounted by a crown, completed by a cabochon sapphire push piece. Match case similarly designed, both accompanied by a fitted case. Cigarette case signed CS Friedlaender Berlin, with hallmark and 900 German silver mark, measuring approximately 3 3/8 x 3 inches (8.55 x 7.60 cm); match case measuring approximately 1¾ x 1 3/8 inches (4.44 x 3.81 cm), c.1910s.
