Overview

The inimitable Kristin Chenoweth lights up the Met stage on Monday, December 13, at 8PM ET, with a joyful and heartwarming one-night-only holiday performance. The Emmy and Tony Award–winning actress and singer presents a program of songs from her new album Happiness is … Christmas!, as well as a range of new songs and material for this special evening, with musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell and direction by Richard Jay-Alexander.

Ms. Chenoweth, celebrated for her performances in hit Broadway musicals such as Wicked, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and On the Twentieth Century, as well as her solo Broadway shows My Love Letter to Broadway and For the Girls, previously performed a solo concert at the Met in 2007. “It was always a dream to play the Met, and to get another chance, after this long dormant wait for the arts to come back to life, is an opportunity I could not pass up,” Chenoweth says. “I’m so excited and have already begun rehearsals, singing some of the most beautiful music ever written.”
