Assistant Conductor for Le Nozze di Figaro

Mariam Bombrun is a pianist and coach from Paris, France currently in her first year in the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. During the 2024–25 Met season, she will make her Music Staff debut as an Assistant Conductor for Le Nozze di Figaro, as well as prepare and perform in the Program's Patron Concert of opera scenes and annual spring recital series held at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Additionally, this season she will serve as a rehearsal pianist for Falstaff and diction coach for Castor et Pollux at l’Opéra National de Paris. During her tenure in the Académie de l’Opéra National de Paris, she served as a rehearsal pianist and coach for several main stage productions, including Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Turandot, Ravel’s L’Enfant et les sortilèges, as well as the Académie productions of Rossini’s La Scala di Seta and an abridged version of Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. Previous operatic engagements include Don Carlo at Theater Bremen, Hänsel und Gretel with +OPERA, Rigoletto at Volksoper Wien, Der Fliegende Holländer and Il Trovatore at Oper in der Krypta, and Britten’s Death in Venice at Neue Oper Wien, among others. In 2023, she was named the winner of the Musicians’ Prize from the Signature Foundation – Institut de France, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture. She is an alumna of the Académie de l’Opéra National de Paris, Saluzzo Opera Academy, and the Angelika Prokopp Summer Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic. She holds degrees in piano performance and collaborative piano from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK).
