Tenor Charles Castronovo is the heroic prince Tamino, who follows a noble quest to rescue his beloved, the warm-hearted Pamina—sung here by soprano Hanna-Elisabeth Müller. Audience favorite Nathan Gunn offers a hilarious portrayal of the bird catcher Papageno, with Tobias Kehrer, as the wise Sarastro, and Kathryn Lewek, who delivers a hair-raising performance as the vindictive Queen of the Night, representing opposite sides of the moral spectrum.
