Rigoletto

Dmitri Hvorostovsky gives a memorable performance as Rigoletto, the tortured and disfigured comedian serving Matthew Polenzani’s casino-owning Duke (in Michael Mayer’s Las Vegas-set hit production). Sonya Yoncheva is Gilda, Rigoletto’s innocent daughter, whose love for the Duke leads to her tragic end. Oksana Volkova is a sensual Maddalena, Štefan Kocán delivers a powerful turn as Sparafucile, and rising maestro Pablo Heras-Casado conducts.
