During the 2021–22 season, Met radio listeners were treated to two exemplary ensemble casts in Mozart’s classic comedy Le Nozze diFigaro. In this lively Saturday Matinee Broadcast, the first takes the stage, led by rising Italian conductor Daniele Rustioni. Bass-baritone Ryan McKinny and soprano Lucy Crowe star as the newlyweds-to-be Figaro and Susanna, alongside baritone Adam Plachetka and soprano Golda Schultz as the Count and Countess Almaviva. Mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard reprises her popular portrayal of the pageboy Cherubino, with bass-baritone Maurizio Muraro and mezzo-soprano MaryAnn McCormick rounding out the principal cast as the scheming Dr. Bartolo and Marcellina.
